Summer University of the European Left: Change Europe, Change the World [en]
1 June 2011

Trevi, 12-17 July 2011

This year’s summer university of the Party of the European Left and transform! europe will take place in Trevi, near Perugia in the Region of Umbria in Italy. Ten years after the historic, international mobilization against the G8-Summit in Genoa and the death of Carlo Giuliani, the struggle continues in Europe and the world. In co-operation with the Italian EL- member party of Rifondazione Comunista, the Summer University aims to gather young activists and members of parties and social movements from all over Europe for a debate on current political and social issues.

Topics will center on left alternatives for a way out of the crises and for social transformation, new internationalism, media and democracy, and youth in Europe. During workshops, seminars and meetings, participants will share experiences and discuss policies and initiatives for the construction of an alternative Europe.
