A group of NGO’s is preparing an alternative action to the European-African Summit with the aim of placing in the agenda the debate about the unequal relations system that has developed between these two continental blocks.
For such, this group of organizations intends to build this initiative together with other Portuguese, European and African organizations, in order to create an event that its intended to be of euro-african dimension, assuring that we can present multiple and diverse visions about this issues.
We have already received some feedbacks from different organizations showing their interest in this initiative, still, we would like to confirm your availability to participate trough the following e-mail address: email@example.com
Under you’ll find the program we propose for this event, to take place on the 7, 8 and 9th December in Lisbon, in a place to decide. As you can see, there’s space to organize debates and workshops by initiative of the NGOs; we suggest that, if you’re interested, to send us your proposals as soon as possible. We will also have in account the proposals already received.
Considering this is to be an initiative of euro-african dimension, we’re planning a phone conference for next week in a date and hour to divulge soon, with the aim of discussing the program and ways to materialize the event. We pretend to close the program on the 15 th of November.
To relate still that the Portuguese organizations involved in this process make use of limited financial ways; we appeal to your support and solidarity to the mobilization of sources needed to make possible this initiative. So, next week, we’ll send a proposal of budget to the interested organizations.
We consider essential the mobilization of alternatives to the Summit promoted by the EU. We appeal therefore to your participation.
