ESF06 - Consultation Stage 2 [en]
16 February 2007

Following the Prague EPA and the Program discussion we have opened a Forum as asked with the 14 thematic areas selected. Read more >>>

The consultation Stage 1 is not lost

You will find herewith attached the answers received. They are quite difficult to re-organize according to the thematic areas drawn, but have lead to them nevertheless. The consultation received more than 100 answers. However, technical and most probably, conceptual problems obstructed the dynamics of this methodology, even though important information was acquired. In addition, not only is it difficult to conclude priorities (priority axes) from the consultation, but also the proposals that have been made show a big diversity of subjects. (Prague Report)

Consultation Stage 2: www.fse-esf.org/forum

As you know in September there will be another EPA in Istanbul. Prior to it a Program Group meeting is supposed to be organized.

The goal is not to drive a consensus, but rather to evaluate the diversity, the possible links or in order words:

- The thematic areas are neither solid, nor isolated. There has to be a common ground between the various areas, as well as horizontal communication between them needs to be established.
- The possibility that the ESF loses its visibility and orientation by fragmentation into many subjects. Discussion around the priorities is to be continued to avoid this.
- The program should be flexible and not predefined (finalized), so that itself, along with the central axes, can be adjusted as the situation evolves in the coming months.

The Forum is an attempt to allow the consultation to evolve in a positive and constructive way and to be able to develop itself further as it was asked during the EPA last plenary in Prague. We hope that this experiment with this new tool will able us to achieve this goal.

- Step 1: Register your entity to the Forum
— To create a login, please use your entity name.
— - example: Entity-YourFirstName
— Fill in all the fields you will think usefull.

- Step 2: languages
— If your web-browser options are set on one particular language, you will see the interface of the Forum in this language
— Upon registering, you can select the language you want: Albanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, English, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Kurdish, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian and so on.
— When posting in the Forum please do it in two languages or in English.

- Step 3: building the Program
— A Forum is an interactive tool, not a one way tool. Therefore the goal is to self-organize in order to build a series of proposals, seek links, and strart networking.
— This stage 2 is very important in order to continue building on stage 1 and before adding more tools after the September EPA.
— This tool participate to the transparency of the process and to its openess. It will be efficient only if you’ll help it be efficient by your participation.
